Oven Baked Waffles

Monday mood: eat a whole stack of Waffles, send an OOO email to work and go back to sleep.
Isn't this the dreaaaam ya'll? So, that's exactly what we're doing today... well the waffle part I mean. But they aren't regular Waffles - these are Oven Baked Waffles.
Have you ever made waffles in an oven? If not, today's the day! I've tried this recipe close to a dozen times and I'm surprised at how well they come out every single time!!
How do you make waffles in an oven...?
What you choose is up to you. The recipe below will work with both.
One thing to remember if using a silicone pan is to grease it well to ensure the waffles can be removed once baked. The second thing to remember is to place the greased silicone mold on a a regular baking tray just like this before placing inside the oven.
The rest is pretty simple and similar to how you would make waffles with a waffle iron -- mix the dry and wet ingredients separately, combine the two, pour into the waffle mold and bake.
That's it. Not complicated at all, right? So, let's get to it!
Oven Baked Waffles
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 48 minutes (12 minutes/4 waffles)
Total Time: 1 hour and 8 minutes
Serves: 14 - 16 Waffles
2 cups all purpose flour
2 tbsp granulated sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup oil
Grease an oven waffle mold / pan - this could be a silicone waffle mold or an steel/aluminum waffle pan. If using a silicone waffle mold, then place the greased mold on a regular baking tray just like this.
Preheat oven to 425° F.
In a large bowl, mix all dry ingredients (including sugar). In a separate medium bowl, mix all wet ingredients.
Add the wet ingredients into the dry and mix with a wooden spoon until fully combined and there are no lumps.
Pour the batter into the prepared waffle pan using a spoon.
Bake the waffles for 12 minutes. Repeat Step 4 to 5 until all batter is finished.
